Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is an effective adjunct treatment for most health conditions because of its ability to alleviate pain, improve circulation, and restore optimal nervous system balance.

Massage therapy may be beneficial in the treatment of acute and chronic injury or pain, including back pain, whiplash, headaches, sciatica, tendonitis, TMJ, and fibromyalgia. Research demonstrates that massage may improve sleep, mental focus, anxiety, asthma, and heart health.

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are regulated by the Ontario government after successful completion of a 2 to 3 year accredited program and entry-to-practice examinations. For more information about massage therapy, please visit the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario website.

Joel Ackerman has been offering massage therapy services at KIHC since 2010.
