Each individual has a unique way of moving that they have learned throughout their life. If one area is missing movement, flexibility, or strength, another area will adapt and compensate. Through life, we accumulate these movement errors and they will eventually cause pain.
Physiotherapists offer manual therapies, therapeutic exercise prescriptions, and other treatments to prevent injury and disability, and to address acute and chronic injury and pain. The benefits of Physiotherapy also often include improved strength, coordination, flexibility, and heart and lung function.
At KIHC, one-on-one Physiotherapy services are offered by Christine Campbell and Move Authentically Physiotherapy. Christine is often assisted by a Physiotherapy Resident who is engaged in her intensive Mentorship program. This year we’re happy to welcome Ashley Jeon to the Move Authentically Physiotherapy team at KIHC.
Physiotherapy is a regulated health profession in Ontario. It is covered by most extended health insurance plans.
