Environmental Health Questionnaire

Environmental Health QuestionnaireThe purpose of this environmental health questionnaire is three-fold:

  1. Current health and wellbeing: Your personal sensitivity to environmental contaminants is unique and reflects many known and unknown factors, including past exposures, genetics, epigenetics, and nutrient deficiencies. Use this questionnaire to explore how your personal sensitivity to environmental contaminants impacts your current health concerns.
  2. Reduce your toxin burden: Use this questionnaire as a tool to identify unnecessary toxin exposures and eliminate them from your life.
  3. Prevention: Environmental toxins work synergistically against our body’s natural repair mechanisms. Do not underestimate the cumulative impact of current and past exposures on your future health and quality of life.

Are you sensitive to electromagnetic fields?

Electromagnetic FieldsMany people still assume that electromagnetic fields (EMFs) emitted by their devices (cell phones, computers and ipads, etc.) are completely harmless. This conventional believe persists despite thousands of research studies that identify EMFs as an obstacle to the body’s natural repair mechanisms.[1] If preventive health is a priority for you or if you have chronic illness of any kind, then EMFs should concern you. If you think you might have symptoms that are caused by EMFs, please continue reading!

What frequencies are you emitting?

As a scientist turned energy healer I often reflect on one of the fundamental equations of science, E=mc2.

Einstein’s equation tells us that energy (E) and matter (m) are interchangeable. It says that a beam of light and an apple core are essentially the same thing.  The c in the equation represents the speed of light, and tells us that when energy is released from matter, it travels at the speed of light.

Another quality of energy is that it vibrates at a certain frequency, depending on the kind of energy that we are talking about.

In Kingston, there’s a lot of talk about harmful energetic frequencies emitted by electromagnetic fields. Like all energy, this energy has the ability to interact with matter, possibly changing its structure. This is certainly a great concern.

Electromagnetic Frequencies and 5G in Kingston

EMFs in KingstonYou may have noticed a few lawn signs in Kingston advocating for “No Small Cell Antennas; No 5G”. Implementation of this “fifth generation” telecommunications technology is progressing rapidly worldwide, despite more than 20,000 scientific studies citing harmful effects of electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs) from electric and wireless devices. Concerned physicians, scientists, and local action groups (including Kingstonians for Safe Technology) are advocating for proof of safety before installation is permitted in residential areas. It matters because, once installed, we’ll all be exposed to massive increases of EMF.

EMF Reader Rental Program

emf readerElectromagnetic Fields (EMF), cause serious health consequences in as much as 8% of the population in developed countries. Some European countries have designated EMR-free zones for citizens afflicted by Electrohypersensitivity (EHS). Symptoms can be quite individualized, but may include headaches, heart palpitations, skin rashes, insomnia, tinnitus, nausea, anxiety, and brain-fog. People with chemical sensitivities, Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, and autoimmune diseases, may be more sensitive to EMR.

For more information about EMFs, please review our previous blog posts. A check-list of exposure sources and additional website resources is available on our website, here.

Our Cornet EMF reader is available to current KIHC patients, for a weekly rental fee of $20 plus HST. Please ask your practitioner for details.

Dr. Sonya Nobbe, ND

Electromagnetic radiation (EMR), such as what cell phones and WiFi internet routers emit, is a serious health risk. Rigorous scientific studies on the human health effects of chronic EMR exposure suggest significant impact on health ranging from mild sleep disturbances to increased rates of certain rare cancers and health conditions that mimic neurological illness and Lyme disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) as a genuine health condition and in 2011 their International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) listed EMR as a potential human carcinogen. Other nationalities, including Switzerland, China, Italy, and Russia, have set acceptable exposure limits to at least 1/100th of what Health Canada insists is safe in its well debated Safety Code 6. In fact, Health Canada does not recognize EHS as a health condition and states that their policies are based on current scientific studies that demonstrate “no effect” from EMR exposure. Clearly the safety of EMR lacks scientific consensus, yet WiFi continues to be installed in our elementary schools, cell phone towers continue to be erected in high-density residential areas, and hydro Smart Meters continue to be installed on many homes and businesses. Has Health Canada failed to adequately balance economic and health interests of Canadians?

Reduce Your Exposure

Cell and cordless phones

· Keep cell phones away from the body (e.g. not in your pocket or near your bed).

· Use speaker phone or text messaging when possible. Blue tooth attachments increase your EMR exposure so opt for an air-tube headset.

Healthy Human Electromagnetic Frequency (Energy) vs. Electromagnetic Frequency Pollution

~ Carol Belanger, BA, RM, BHS

Humans are composed of and influenced by energy. We usually express energy as having too much (hyper) or too little (fatigued) and not as electromagnetic frequency. All of the systems of our body use energy to function. A fluctuating energy level is normal, we naturally move between having greater and lesser amounts of energy in our daily life. Energy is measured electromagnetically. Some of the equipment used to measure our energy includes the EEG and EKG for nerve, brain, and heart function, and various other electrodiagnostic equipment.
