Jianmin (Jamie) Xu, R.Ac
Jianmin (Jamie) Xu is a Registered Acupuncturist in Ontario and British Columbia. She has more than 30 years of experience in clinical diagnosis, treatment, and medical research. Acupuncture, particularly when applied with a Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, can be an effective treatment option for most any health condition.
“Balance is the key to health. Sickness, injury, poor habits, and stress are things we all experience that disrupt the delicate balance in our body. Acupuncture stimulates the innate biological intelligence of the body by creating balance in the flow of Qi (energy). I strive to bring the highest quality of acupuncture services to you.”
Jamie obtained her Medical Doctor (MD) designation from Tianjin Medical University in China in 1985. She subsequently studied acupuncture at the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing. In 2003, Jamie relocated to British Columbia with her family and maintained a practice as a licensed Acupuncturist in Vancouver. Since moving to Kingston, Ontario, Jamie has enjoyed working in the field of cardiovascular sciences research at Queen’s University, alongside a home-based acupuncture practice. She started a full-time acupuncture practice at KIHC in 2015.
Jamie is currently registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Colombia.
