Mary Broeders, MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker

As a Registered Social Worker, Mary offers therapy for a wide range of emotional and mental health concerns, including those related to trauma, stress, difficult life transitions, relationships, adult ADHD, and chronic pain or illness. Her approach is wholistic, empathic, and adaptable. She welcomes adults who are new to therapy and those who are familiar with a variety of approaches.

“We all have good reasons for coping the way we do to survive life’s challenges. Sometimes it can be helpful to receive extra support along the way. As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe emotional space for you to confidently do the inner work to reach your goals. I feel privileged to assist my clients in processing stuck emotions, narratives, and somatic experiences, developing helpful coping strategies and resources while building upon their already existing strengths.”

Mary received her Bachelors of Social Work degree from the University of Regina in 2017 and Masters of Social Work from Laurier University in 2021 (Indigenous Field of Study specialization). She has pursued advanced clinical training in EMDR, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and an active member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers

Prior to entering the field of social work, Mary acquired a BA in political science in 2011 and pursued much training in yoga, including a 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training certification in 2012 (Akhanda yoga in Rishikesh, India) and 4 months of learning at Kripalu Yoga Center in 2013. She is passionate about continuing to develop her skills and sees her journey as a therapist as a life-long learning process.
