COVID-19 Policies March & April 2022

COVID-19 UpdatesPublic health measures are changing quickly and so are some of our KIHC COVID-19 policies. Our policies reflect our position as a healthcare facility and our responsibilities to more vulnerable patients. They are different than those implemented in public places by the Ontario government.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work to maintain a safe and welcoming space for everyone here.

Attending In-person Appointments

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 infection or suspected COVID-19 infection, or live with someone who is experiencing symptoms, do not attend in-person appointments until at least 10 days have passed beyond symptom onset. This is regardless of vaccination status or rapid-antigen test results. When appropriate, telemedicine options (video and telephone) are available.

Travel Restrictions

The Canadian government continues to monitor international travel and has measures in place to ensure that travelers are free of COVID-19 infection. Consequently, we have no isolation requirements following national or international travel, when attending in-person appointments.

Masks at KIHC

We continue to require patients, clients, staff, and practitioners, to wear masks inside our health facility. The government has NOT removed masking requirements in healthcare facilities. We will re-evaluate this policy at the end of April.

Attending Appointments with a Family Member

As always, when appropriate, patients are welcome to bring a family member (e.g. a spouse, parent) with them to important appointments.

Curb-Side Pick-Up

This policy is likely here to stay. If you’re feeling unwell, if you’ve been exposed or are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, please do not enter the clinic. Please give us a call (or email) and pay for your prescription and supplement items in advance. We’ll have them ready for pick-up.
