Holistic Nutritionist

Trish Krause is a certified holistic nutrition practitioner and natural wellness educator. She welcomes a wide range of adult clients into her practice, including busy professionals aged 40+ who are seeking support with the following concerns:

• perimenopause and menopause
• diabetes
• obesity and weight concerns
• autoimmune disorders
• digestive distress
• inflammation
• neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries
• savvy meal planning and in-home culinary education

Through a combination of evidence-informed nutrition strategies, mindset methodology, and stress reduction and sleep practices, Trish helps her clients forge a sustainable path towards feeling better, looking better and being healthier from the inside out.

Trish graduated from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN) in 2012 with First Class Honours and has been in private practice ever since. She is also accredited as a registered nutritional consulting practitioner (RNCP) through the International Organization of Nutrition Consultants (IONC).

In addition to her formal nutrition certification, Trish has undertaken additional studies and training to enhance her expertise in the area of blood sugar management, nutrition and mental health, hormonal balancing, behavioural coaching for disordered eating, auto-immune protocols, and nutrition support for cancer treatment and recovery, among other critical topics. She is also a yoga teacher, mindfulness and meditation guide, and essential oils educator.

A former journalist, Trish’s health blog, Trish Bites Life, covers a range of informative nutrition, cooking, health prevention and promotion topics. She is the author of an e-book entitled Facts About Fat: Why it’s so D#mn Hard to Lose and has written informative nutrition and wellness columns and articles for a variety of online and print publications including ReFined Kingston magazine, Spinal Cord Ontario (formerly CPA) magazine, Muskoka Daily, Local magazine (Toronto), Divorce, Family Lawyer, Good Food Now, 50+ magazine, to name just a few.

Trish and her partner live walking distance to Kingston’s waterfront and city centre and are proud guardians of a retired racing greyhound who, true to his status as a retiree, prefers the couch to accompanying Trish on any of her 5K/10K training runs.
