Registered Acupuncturist
Jianmin (Jamie) Xu is our Registered Acupuncturist at Kingston Integrated Healthcare. She has more than 30 years of experience in clinical diagnosis, treatment, and medical research. Acupuncture, particularly when applied with a Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, can be an effective supportive treatment option for most health conditions, including chronic pain and fatigue, anxiety, hormone imbalance, immune deficiencies, digestive concerns, and skin disorders.
“Balance is the key to health. Sickness, injury, and stress are things we all experience that disrupt the delicate balance in our body. Acupuncture stimulates the innate biological intelligence of the body by creating balance in the flow of Qi (energy).”
Jamie obtained her Medical Doctor (MD) designation in 1985 from Tianjin Medical University in China. She subsequently studied acupuncture at the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing. Jamie began practicing as a registered Acupuncturist in Vancouver in 2003, and full-time at Kingston Integrated Healthcare in 2015. She is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario.
