CranioSacral Therapy

Our central nervous system is comprised of our brain and spinal cord. Their optimal function depends significantly on the quality of the cerebrospinal fluid that bathes them. CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a very gentle manual therapy that addresses the central nervous system by releasing restrictions in the tissues that surround the spine and brain. CST may be an effective adjunctive therapy for chronic pain or neurological conditions such as migraines, back pain, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and concussions. It is safe and effective for a variety of pediatric conditions, such as constipation and colic.

CranioSacral Therapy at KIHC is offered by Joel Ackerman, Registered Massage Therapist. It can be incorporated into an existing appointment or as an entire treatment unto itself, with the client fully clothed and lying comfortably on a treatment table.
