As a Speech-Language Assistant, Eighren works closely with Adrienne Nobbe, our Speech-Language Pathologist, to provide therapy based on an individualized care plan designed by Adrienne. For almost 10 years, Eighren has been providing creative and engaging speech-language therapy sessions for her young clients in their schools, homes, and in clinic. Her areas of focus include clarity of speech, stuttering, voice, and developmental language.
“When I discovered speech therapy, it spoke to me in a way that I knew it was what I was meant to do. Working in private practice has allowed me to work with a diverse range of speech and language disorders. I love working on articulation and expressive language with school-age children. It fills me with immense gratitude watching them succeed and build their confidence.”
Eighren graduated from Queen’s University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), and later acquired her post-graduate certificate for Communicative Disorders Assistant at St. Lawrence College in 2015. She is an active member of Speech and Audiology Canada, and has completed her Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS) level 1 training.
