How to breathe well is a very complicated subject – and it’s becoming clear that sub-optimal breathing affects more than just our respiratory system.
Tuning into the power of your breath can support your nervous system, positively influencing your sleep, your digestion, and your ability to think clearly in stressful situations. These are super important to our well-being.
So how do you build a healthier relationship with your breath?
Try this simple shift, and see if it works for you. It is making a big difference for me.
While movement is imperative to sustainable health, how you move also matters. Our bodies are absolutely meant to move in so many different ways. As we age, it becomes vitally important to consciously use our joints and spine in ways that better fit their design. This helps prevent undue stress (wear and tear) and maximizes your ability to move well for a very long time.
Did you know that about 80% of people experience back pain at some point in their lives? If you have ever been there (or are there now), you’re definitely not alone.
But solely focusing on the back pain may not be the only or even best approach to relief. Low back pain is not only about your back. As everything in our bodies is interconnected, there is often another place you can put your attention without going right to that lower back pain point.
