COVID-19 Policies May & June 2022
You may have heard that healthcare facilities in Ontario are required to continue masking policies until at least June 11th. This mandate reflects our responsibility to our vulnerable patients and helps to ensure our ability to continue supporting our community throughout this current wave of COVID-19 infection.
Our other policies have not changed:
Attending In-person Appointments
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 infection or suspected COVID-19 infection, or live with someone who is experiencing symptoms, do not attend in-person appointments until at least 10 days have passed beyond symptom onset. This is regardless of vaccination status or rapid-antigen test results. When appropriate, telemedicine options (video and telephone) are available.
Masks at KIHC
We continue to require patients, clients, staff, and practitioners, to wear masks inside our health facility. The government has not removed masking requirements in healthcare facilities.
Attending Appointments with a Family Member
As always, when appropriate, patients are welcome to bring a family member (e.g. a spouse, parent) with them to important appointments.
Travel Restrictions
We have no additional isolation requirements for in-person appointments, following national or international travel. (You can find up-to-date Canadian travel, testing, and isolation requirements, here.)
Curb-Side Pick-Up
This policy is likely here to stay. If you’re feeling unwell, if you’ve been exposed or are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, please do not enter the clinic. Please give us a call (or email) and pay for your prescription and supplement items in advance. We’ll have them ready for pick-up.
