Sound Healing – for Self-Healing and Transformation

Similar to ripples on a pond, sound is a pressure wave created by a vibrating object. Sound (pleasant and unpleasant) surrounds us whether we hear it or not. We use sound through our communication (conversation, music, TV). Since we are primarily composed of water, we also feel the physical and emotional effects of sound as sound travels faster through water than in air. We notice these effects when we tune into our favourite music, lean against a party speaker, hear children laughing, and hear family, friends or co-workers arguing. Our bodies are powerful resonators of sound. Sound has subtle, but profound effects on our body/mind, and spirit.

Grow-A-Row for Loving Spoonful

Our little grow-a-row garden out front is growing plenty of zucchini and some beans for donation to Loving Spoonful. We’re happy to support a local charity that works hard to provide our community (27 agencies including shelters and hot food programs!), with fresh food.

Evaluation of the bacteria below your gumline is best done with a phase contrast microscope. It is quick, easy and non-invasive. No longer do we just use indicators such as bleeding and pocket depths as signs of gum disease. High numbers of spirochetes and white blood cells are closely related to chronic gum disease. The health of your mouth is linked to increased risk of heart attack, stroke, ulcers, diabetes, respiratory disease and cancer.
