COVID-19 Lockdown Updates for January and February 2021

Kingston Integrated HealthcareOur doors remain open throughout this second provincial State of Emergency (“lockdown”), but with additional precautions and advisories in place:

If you’ve had a positive COVID test or live with someone who’s had a positive test, please postpone your in-person appointment until you’ve both been symptom-free for 4 weeks. This extended period is intended to protect our more vulnerable clients, but if you’re struggling, let us know! We’re here to help.

If your in-person consultation is non-urgent AND can be conducted by telemedicine, please call or email us to confirm your preference for phone or video. This includes Naturopathic, Nutrition, Ayurvedic, Reiki, Pharmacy, and Psychology appointments.

If your in-person manual therapy session is non-urgent or you’re concerned about your exposure, please call us to postpone and reschedule for March. This includes Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and Ayurvedic bodywork. Osteopathic Manual Therapy appointments are temporarily suspected until we receive further government direction.

If you have any cold or flu symptoms or exposure to someone with possible COVID-19 illness, or if you traveled to a red-zone location in the recent 2 weeks, please do not enter our facility. All people who enter KIHC must screen negative on the government-mandated COVID-19 screening questionnaire.

Please do NOT drop-in unexpectedly to pick up your prescriptions or health supplements. We’re following curb-side pick-up guidelines to reduce your risk of exposure and reduce traffic in our facility. Please pay for your order in advance (by e-transfer to kihc@kihc.ca, or credit card over the phone) and we’ll have it packaged up for you, ready to go.

Reception support for curb-side pick-up and scheduling appointments:
Monday to Friday
9am to 5pm (closed 12 to 1pm)

All of our other usual precautions are still in place. This includes COVID-19 screening questionnaires for everyone before entering the facility, frequent use of cleaning products and hand sanitizer, and physical distancing measures.

For up-to-date information about COVID-19 cases in our community, please reference the KFL&A public health website.

If you have any other questions or concerns at all, please reach out! We’re here to support you and our community.
