Your Personal Cancer Risk
Cancer Care Ontario has built a cancer risk assessment tool called My CancerIQ, which helps us explore where our personal risk lies and preventive actions we can take to reduce our cancer risk. We’ve included links below for 5 different types of cancer.
Breast Cancer Risk
Of all new cancer cases in women each year, 25% of these cases are breast cancer.
According to Stats Canada, 28,600 Canadian women and 270 men were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. 5,500 women and 55 men died of breast cancer, that same year. On average, 78 Canadian women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day and 15 women die each day, of breast cancer.
